AFC congratulates NDC on victory in Grenada

The Alliance For Change (AFC) congratulates the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of Grenada and its leader Mr. Dickon Mitchell for your historic victory at the polls on Thursday, June 23, 2022. This victory signaled the dawn of a new day for the people of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, and we are confident that you will fulfil your promises to the people to bring real change and prosperity to your three-island state.
It is a remarkable victory, which will be studied for decades to emerge from zero seats in the national parliament to form the government with a nine-seat majority after a peaceful campaign.
We also extend our goodwill to Dr. Keith Mitchell for his years of service to the Grenadian people and CARICOM and his gracious acceptance of defeat as evidence of a strong democratic and peaceful transition of power.
Again, we congratulate the NDC and its candidates on a well-deserved victory as a new dynamic takes the lead on the spice island. We assure you of our continued support as we deepen our fraternal friendship.
