Kaieteur News – The Ministry of Health yesterday announced the deaths of two more persons who contracted COVID-19. According to the Ministry, the latest fatalities are that of a 65-year-old man from Region Two and a 64-year-old woman from Region Three. Both persons died on Wednesday while receiving treatment at a medical facility.
As a result of this, the country’s COVID-19 death toll has moved to 1,251.
Further, the Health Ministry in its daily COVID-19 dashboard recorded 111 new cases, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 67,058.
The dashboard revealed too that three patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 28 persons are in institutional isolation, 943 are in home isolation and two are in institutional quarantine.
To date, a total of 64,833 have recovered from the virus.
