Dear Editor,
Kaieteur News – I am writing this letter hoping that it attracts the necessary attention on the poor water supply received from GWI in the Eccles Block EE area. It is several months now that residents have been complaining and no one seems to be heeding this complaint. It is at the point now where no water is coming through the taps.
Residents in a WhatsApp group for the neighbourhood express their daily frustration. People have to be buying five-gallon bottles of water to do daily chores and when the water comes a little bit, you have to do excess pumping just to trap some in tanks and buckets. The troubling and frustrating part is that this area is supposed to be a middle-class area where many of the oil workers are seeking rentals and cannot get a basic service.
Yours truly,
Tajpaul Ram
