New passport requirement
Dear Editor,
Kaieteur News – There is now a new requirement for the recommender on the application for a passport. Seeing that passports are no longer renewable you have to apply for a new one when the old one expires. The new requirement is that the recommender must be a Guyanese. Seeing that the list of eligible recommenders is already small, making it only Guyanese now means that it will be impossible for overseas Guyanese to obtain a new passport. Who was the ‘genius’ that implemented this change?
