Kaieteur News – I wish to congratulate Mr. Aubrey Norton on being the newly elected leader of the opposition PNC(R) party. Sir, I don’t know you but to have gained the trust of your comrades as their leader speaks volumes of your character which I hope will shine brightly as you take up the mantle of leadership. Being the leader of any political organisation bears the responsibility of good conduct, good judgment, and the ability to see and admit, with civility and respect, the other person’s point of view may be better than yours in matters of State – a virtue few aspire.
King Solomon, the wisest man that ever lived, on becoming king of Israel knew he had a formidable task before him. He prayed and asked God for wisdom to judge Israel and carried out his duties in a fair and equitable manner.
Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us
[5] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
[6] In all thy ways acknowledge HIM, and he shall direct thy paths.
May God grant you the wisdom to carry out your duties as he did King Solomon
