Dear Editor,
SATIRE:
Kaieteur News – Trust me, I will give you cheap sugar.
Trust me, I will give you cheap electricity.
Seriously speaking, was proper up-to-date feasibility studies done for the gas-to-shore pipeline project and the Amaila Falls Hydroelectric Project? And, was the results released into the public domain so that it can be scrutinised by all stakeholders?
For some reason, the PPP/C Government is moving at breakneck speed to get these projects done without proper feasibility studies and meaningful consultations with CIVIL SOCIETY. Then to top it all off, they are removing critical oversight of the NRF to fund their pet projects.
Are you seriously thinking of spending BILLIONS OF US DOLLARS without proper feasibility studies and without meaningful consultations?
And, the reason we are not doing proper feasibility studies is because someone believes they are no-brainers?
Yours faithfully,
Sean Ori
