Kaieteur News – The Trophy Stall Badminton Doubles Tournament kicked off on Monday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
The first day saw players facing off in Open Doubles and Mixed Doubles games. The Mixed Doubles was a fun mix, where names were put into two bags and pulled (one male, one female who were paired to play together).
Before the games commenced, a moment of silence was held for Mr. Gokarn Ramdhani, President of the Guyana Badminton Association and black sweat bands were handed out to each participant.
The results of the first day are as follows:
