“Young entrepreneurs can pave the way for other persons by giving them hope that no matter the age, we can achieve any and everything we put our minds to.”
…catering to all your gifting needs

Kaieteur News – With the holiday season upon us many people may be wondering what they can get that loved one for Christmas Day. As we all know Christmas is a time of giving and sharing. One way you can show your appreciation to that special someone, is by ordering a gift box or packages from ‘Project Bliss’, a small business that is fast catching the attention of many people. Project Bliss is a gift shop that is solely owned by the talented, 19-year-old, Myiesha Greaves. In a recent interview with Kaieteur News, Greaves shared that it all started while she was in her final year of CAPE, pursing her Associates Degree in Entrepreneurship at the St. Roses High School. The business was launched on February 26th this year. Ever since she was a little girl, Greaves shared, she was very much into creative things. “Honestly I was born with the gift of creativity and one day I was sleeping and the Holy Spirit spoke to me…I told my parents and my friends and they all encouraged me to pursue it,” Greaves mentioned. At first, when it all started, she was at a phase where she “kind of second guessed” herself, but with her supportive relatives by her side, she was motivated to keep the faith alive. That, coupled with the many customers she has since attracted have proven that the decision to venture into this business was the right move. According to the young entrepreneur, thus far, she has not faced any major challenges but just like any other young business person, it was tough at the beginning in terms of getting sales. “I remember vividly I wasn’t making any sales and I was sad and complaining but then I remember I serve a living God and His time is always perfect,” Greaves asserted.Even though she launched into the business arena amid the pandemic, it somehow impacted her operation in a positive way.
Through this journey, she highlighted that she was able to meet new people whose gifting needs she has been able to cater adequately. Among the goals she hopes to achieve going forward, is for her business to always be able to provide items that meet the expectations of her customers and to have stores across the country. This way, she believes, she can bring about a change by being able to create employment for others, since “unemployment is one of the biggest issues we face today.” Her aim therefore is to, “generate generational wealth, inspire others and assist my community in any way possible.” Greaves is of the belief that young business owners can pave the way for greatness by using their talent to motivate persons around them. “Young entrepreneurs can pave the way for other persons by giving them hope that no matter the age, we can achieve any and everything we put our minds to,” the 19-year-old said with pride.
Our featured entrepreneur is one of the many people who believe that a lot more can be done in terms of boosting our local talent and small businesses. According to her, even though seminars, exhibitions and advertisement have been done to showcase small businesses, there are other measures that can help bring even more awareness to their existence. Also, Greaves believes that there should be more collaboration between the private and public sectors. Persons desirous of ordering a gift box or customising their gift packages can contact Greaves on telephone number (592) 648-5402 or check out her Instagram page @project..bliss. According to Greaves, Project Bliss caters to every and any occasion including birthdays, anniversaries and graduation in just the way you desire. >>>
