Kaieteur News – Defending Prime Minister’s T20 Cup Masters’ champion Fisherman will be looking to retain their title when the Georgetown Softball Cricket League (GSCL) Prime Minister’s T20 Cup commence tomorrow.
Fisherman will take on Success, Essequibo and Regal Masters in the group stage which will be followed by the semi finals. NY Doctors and Ariel Masters will also compete in this category.
Manager/player Zameer Hassan told Kaieteur Sport that they will not be taking any team lightly and that they have a well balanced unit. He added that the players are excited to go into action despite limited preparation due to the inclement weather.
He thanked the Almighty for making the tournament possible and expressed gratitude to their sponsors; Satrohan Sookdeo, KFC, Payless Variety Store, Bradley Mechanical Hvac Usa, Guyana Community of Services, Krishna Harricharan of Legend Cook House Florida, Perfect Print, Rock Away. He also lauded the GSCL Inc.
The squad reads; Denis Mangroo, Jagdish Persaud, Ramo Malone, Pooran Singh, Zameer Hassan, Robert Mohan, Stanley Mahabir, Davanand Kannan, Bhim George, Troy Ramsaywack, Dubraj Singh, Troy Lewis and Zaki Salim.
