Dear Editor,
Let me say up front, I do not agree with the new curfew hours. Here it is the pandemic is spiralling and numbers rising but instead of putting stricter curfew measures in place, what we have is effectively no curfew in place, with just a four-hour period. Really!
Added to this bars and restaurants can now open until 23:00 hours, but persons wishing to access public buildings must be fully vaccinated, with stipulations as to what constitutes a fully vaccinated person.
So, on one hand, national curfew is contracted, bars and restaurants have extended opening hours but to access public buildings has stipulations attached.
It has to be wondered will these new measures aid in curtailing the spiralling virus?
