Extend condolences to grieving family and friends

Kaieteur News – It was with utter shock on Friday evening that the news of the passing of former Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) President Gokarn Ramdhani made its way across Guyana and the globe with rippling effects of disbelief.

As reported, Ramdhani, the heart and soul of Badminton in Guyana and further afield suffered a massive heart attack and succumbed in Canada where he was residing with his family. Minister of Culture Youth and Sport, Charles Ramson Jr., like many others was in disbelief to learn of the former son of the soil’s untimely passing.
Director of Sport, Steve Ninvalle who also expressed astonishment on Ramdhani’s passing, spoke on behalf of Minister Ramson.

“The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Hon. Charles Ramson Jr. and the National Sports Commission wish to extend deepest condolences to the wife, children and family of President of the Guyana Badminton Association Gokarn Ramdhani. The sporting fraternity and Guyana have lost a true patriot who dedicated his life to the development of Badminton. May his soul rest in peace.”
Ramdhani was a former Council Member of the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA), Council Member of the Caribbean Regional Badminton Confederation (CAREBACO), Vice President Communications of the Badminton Pan American Confederation (BPAC), Second Vice President of the Confederation Central American and Caribbean Badminton (CONCECABA).
He leaves to mourn his wife Emily, a son and daughter, Narayan and Priyanna, family and friends. Kaieteur Sport joins with the Badminton family and by extension Guyana in sending sincere condolences to the Ramdhani family.
