Dear Editor,
I would like to announce that I tendered my resignation as a member of the People’s National Congress/Reform on May 22, 2021. In fact, since 2019, I became an inactive member and have not participated in any political activities whatsoever. I thought that the party would serve the needs of its members and all people of Guyana. I envisioned a country where all people would be treated equally regardless of colour, religion or income. I had hope that all the people will be given a chance of a good life, but unfortunately this was not the case and I no longer cannot stand by and watch helplessly.
I therefore refuse to continue to traverse in this pathway, and I am prepared to work with those who have Guyana first.
Yours truly,
Narine Chattergoon
