At the last Championship which was held in 2019 in Cuba, Hasani secured 3rd Place in Time Trial for both the Elite and Under 23 categories. Due to the pandemic and to help cut costs for both the host country and participating countries, the governing body for cycling International Cycling Union (UCI) along with the Pan American Cycling Confederation (COPACI) decided to hold the hold both competitions (Caribbean Championships and 2021 Pan American Championships).
The Pan American Cycling Championship will run on August 13 & 15 with the Time Trial on the 13th and the Road Race on the 15th. August 14 will serve as a rest day for the Caribbean Cycling Championships participants to recover and prepare for the big event on August 15.
Represented at the Pan American Championships will be Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela along with all the listed Countries for the Caribbean Champs.

The road race will be on Sunday, August 22, and will be 67 miles. A three-stage race is judged on time and the cyclists with the lowest accumulated time will be crowned the winner. In 2019, the last time Antigua held the event, Hasani captured first place in the time trial and placed second overall.
Mrs. Sharon Lowe President of the Anguilla Cycling Associations said, the cyclists have been training hard and are anxious and eager for competition as there hasn’t been much since Covid-19. She said she is confident that the team will display an excellent performance. Cyclists such as Hasani and Zambezi have been competing at an international level in the United States and Europe. As a result, the aforementioned have gained great exposure and knowledge, which will assist the entire team in formulating plans and strategies for these competitions.
The Anguilla Cycling Association wishes to extend a hearty thank you to the Government through the Department of Sports for the assistance they provided in making this trip possible. The Association extends best of luck and safe travels to the team.
