But wah kerfuffle dem boys was when one of dem representatives seh how is de pandemic and de floods mek he ketch reduce by 40 percent. Now dem boys nah know wat pandemic gat fuh do with reducing de ketch of fish. Is nat as if dem fish infected with de virus and dying out. And is nat like if fishing is a non-essential service.
But dem boys get even more confused when de same man did seh how de flooding also responsible. Now dat one gat dem boys baffled because nuff people farm tun fish farm overnight.
But is suh when people frighten fuh tell de government de truth: dat is since dem oil company start beating drum in de ocean and pumping chemical and oil and disposing ballast water in de water, dat dem fish swim away.
Dem boys thought dat was enough laugh fuh de year. But dem boys read about somebody wah want set up airstrip. And de explanation is dat dem gan be able to spray dem rice field.
But dem boys want know about dem small farmers. How come it gan be more cheap fuh aerial spraying of dem small farm dan fuh use manual spraying.
But dis is Guyana and people ah find all kind of explanation fuh justify wat dem want to say.
Talk half and hope dem fish nah run from de spraying!
