Kaieteur News – A Labourer was rushed to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital last evening after he was found lying in a pool of blood by his neighbour.
According to a police report, 50-year-old Shaza also called ‘Shazo’ Mandeen of Port Mourant, East Berbice-Corentyne, was engaged in an argument with an individual who was only identified as ‘Dumb Boy’ at 22:30 hrs. A neighbour who was at the scene said he saw the two men having a dispute but did not pay much attention it. The eyewitness said he headed for his home, which was nearby.
After some time, the man said he returned outside only to see Mandeen on the floor with blood oozing from his head. The man reportedly went to Mandeen’s sister to inform her of the situation.
Mandeen was then rushed to the Port Mourant Public Hospital before he was later transferred to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital for further treatment. He is currently classified as stable. The suspect has not been apprehended but investigations are ongoing.
