Kaieteur News – The Meten-Meer-Zorg (MMZ) Cricket Club has extended congratulations to the members of newly elected Guyana Cricket Board (GCB). The club has also congratulated Bissondyal Singh and Hulbert Foster on their appointment as CWI directors. The release reads, “We the members of the West Meten-Meer-Zorg Cricket Club are super excited about the future of Guyana’s cricket. Our club had a very difficult past and we are so much pleased for this change and we are looking forward for brighter days ahead with the Demerara Cricket Board and by extension Guyana Cricket Board.
We do hope that this fresh and knowledgeable bunch of newly elected members will look after the interest of all clubs. It has been a very challenging past for cricket and we would like to thank the current executive.
Sadly one of those men, Pretipaul Jaigobin, was called back by God Almighty.”
“I have played cricket with the newly elected president Bissondyal Singh and I know vice president Mr. Foster for a number of years. These two gentlemen are capable of taking cricket forward in Guyana,” said Troy Khan an executive member.
