Kaieteur News – Rockaway Group of Companies on Wednesday last presented a quantity of cricket equipment to the La Bonne Intention (LBI) Community Centre Cricket Club, East Coast Demerara.
CEO of the Rockaway Group of Companies Hafeez Ali made the presentation to members of the club at the LBI ground.
Ali said he is pleased to render assistance to the club and urged the youths to take the game seriously. He spoke of the importance of hard work and discipline and told them to enjoy the game. Ali reminded that during his time as a player, cricket gears were difficult to obtain and told the members present that he will deliver uniforms for the players within three weeks. He pledged his continued support.
Club Captain and Secretary Richard Dowlatram thanked Ali and urged the youths to make full use of the equipment. He told them to remain discipline. Shahabudeen Khan, head of the disciplinary committee and B team skipper said they are delighted for the assistance and they are looking forward to continued support.
