Cricket Zone USA supports Speaker’s Cup

Kaieteur News – Proprietor of popular sporting goods store USA Cricket Zone, Ravi Etwaroo, provided support to the recently launched inaugural Speaker’s Cup International Softball Cricket Tournament.
The tournament, which will be played over the Easter weekend from April 2 to April 4, 2021 in Georgetown, is organized by the Everest Cricket Club.
USA Cricket Zone’s sponsorship is in the form of a brand new E4 cricket bat, branded by Guyanese-born Etwaroo. The bat will be raffled as one of the prizes up for grabs at a grand fundraising event.
The raffle will be drawn on the final day of the inaugural tournament with proceeds going directly to the clubs youth programme.
The tournament will be hosted by the Everest Masters Cricket Team in partnership with the Honorable Speaker of the National Assembly, Manzoor Nadir in two categories; Masters Over 45 and Legends Over 50 with sixteen teams expected to participate including six from overseas.
Attractive cash prizes and trophies are up for grabs along with man of the match award for each preliminary game, final and player of the tournament.
Etwaroo said that he is pleased to be part of this tournament and wished for a long and fruitful relationship with the Club. He added that he is very happy to be given the opportunity to be part of this event.
The Everest Cricket Club says thanks to Ravi Etwaroo and look forward as well for a long and fruitful relationship.
All covid regulations will be in place. The finals will be played at the picturesque Everest Cricket Ground.
