Kaieteur News – A 33-year-old vendor of ‘C’ Field, Sophia, was on Wednesday granted bail to a sum of $150,000 on a wounding charge, when he appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate Court before Magistrate Alisha George.
It was alleged that on January 9, Ewart George, 33, a father of two, at ‘C’ Field, Sophia, unlawfully and maliciously wounded Dellon Vigilance of Sophia. Kaieteur News understands that the men had an altercation which resulted in Vigilance being wounded.
George pleaded not guilty to the charge that was read to him. He was however granted bail with condition that he lodge his passport and report on the 15th and last day of every month at the Turkeyen Police Station. The matter was adjourned until February 25.
