Kaieteur News – The Ministry of Health (MOH) yesterday announced two new COVID-19 fatalities, a 74-year-old male from Region 10 (Upper Demerara- Berbice) and a 74-year-old female from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica).
According to the Ministry, both persons died while receiving care at a medical facility and their deaths increase Guyana’s COVID-19 death toll to 137.
Additionally, the Ministry recorded 88 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 4,618 as indicated in their daily dashboard update.
The dashboard further states that 10 persons are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, 56 persons are in institutional isolation, 800 persons are in approved home isolation and 33 persons are in institutional quarantine.
To date, 3,611 recoveries have been recorded and 23,103 persons have been tested countrywide for the virus.
