CRYING FOR MAMA
DEAR EDITOR,
The lights were on for the world to see.
But vile darkness in one man
Who tore the heart of a brave nation.
And my heart bleeds,
like a child I weep
at the way Floyd was murdered.
What manner of evil,
An infernal deed—
The cord of life was slowly squeezed
of one who begged for air
of one who cried for MAMA.
Oh! America!
behold the faces and the river of tears flowing
the pain that keeps coming,
the distrust and boiling anger—
Floyd was another brother.
Cecil Ramkirath
