A welcomed announcement
DEAR EDITOR,
NIS responded to the request for an explanation on no increase for persons in receipt of an NIS pension above the minimum, by announcing a four percent increase (NIS hikes old age pension’ SN Feb 28).
This announcement is most welcome.
It is noted though the increase is effective March 1 and not retroactive to January 1.
