DEAR EDITOR,
I so much regret my inability to attend my friend and schoolmate ‘Bud’ Lee’s departure ceremony on Thursday 16th January, at the Georgetown Club.
‘Bud’ and I played for the same Queen’s College team in the 1940’s in the first class cricket competition of the time. We were opposites. He was a left-handed opening batsman while I was a right-handed opening bowler. But he was much productive to our team’s performance.
As we later went our different professional routes, we however remained connected through our extended membership of the Georgetown Club, particularly on afternoons when I was an onlooker at the squash court where he was so active.
Spiritual we continue to remain connected.
The accompanying image is one record of our team’s history-1949-1950.
Earl John
