DEAR EDITOR,
The Liza -1 well was drilled to 5,433 meters in 1,742 meters of water below seabed and was the first well on the Stabroek block, which is 26,800 square kilometres in size. Our beautiful land of Guyana started to produce its first oil on Friday 20th December, 2019 from the said Liza field, which has the capacity of 120,000 barrels per day. I urge all my Guyanese sisters and brothers to come together and let us pray that the other wells will be successful and Guyana will be at the top of the oil producing countries and so automatically everyone of us will live a very good life.
Congratulations Guyana, season greetings and a happy new year 2020.
Yours Sincerely,
Parmanand Ram
