It’s GRO not GPOC
In our Monday edition, an article headlined “GPOC disputes birth claims of 350 Eteringbang residents” should have instead read “General Registrar Office (GRO) disputes birth claims….”
In the article it was explained that the GPOC is disputing the birth claims of the aforementioned residents. However, it is the GRO that is responsible for the registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages, not GPOC.
Kaieteur News apologises for any inconvenience this may have caused.
