The East Bank Football Association (EBFA) has a new President in former Vice President Kevin Anthony following the association’s Annual General Meeting which was held at the Mocha Community Centre on Monday evening last.

New EBFA President Kevin Anthony (seated center) flanked by VPs Orien Angoy (left) and Clayton Lambert Snr. At back from left, Amanda Angoy, Devnon Winter, Wayne Francois, Noel Harry, Dillion Roberts, Troy Jeffers and GFF’s Lyndon France.
Secretary Wayne Francois retained his position but there was a re-positioning of some of the other executive members. Based on the constitution, no member can serve more than two consecutive terms (one term=two years), former President Franklin Wilson and Vice President Anthony and Noel Harry served two terms each. Harry was elected as Assistant Secretary/Treasurer.
There was only one slate which was proposed by Timehri Panthers Football Club and seconded by Diamond United Football Club. The full executive reads: Kevin Anthony (president), Orien Angoy (Vice President), Clayton Lambert Snr. (Vice President), Wayne Francois (Secretary), Devnon Winter (Treasurer), Noel Harry (Assistant Secretary/Treasurer). Committee Members: Dillion Roberts, Amanda Angoy, Parbattie Winter, Troy Jeffers.
Representing the Guyana Football Federation and overseeing the entire process was Mr. Lyndon France.
The Audited Financial Statement along with reports from the immediate past President Franklin Wilson and Secretary Francois were presented to the members. Wilson thanked the executive and clubs for allowing him to lead the association for the past four plus years after serving as Secretary prior to taking up the top post.
He encouraged the new executive and clubs to continue working as a team to further advance the growth of the body but most importantly, the players. Gratitude was also expressed to President Wayne Forde and the Guyana Football Federation for its unflinching support towards the advancement of the game in the EBFA.
Wilson promised to continue supporting the EBFA and once called upon would be there to assist in the continued development of the EBFA.
