Students of a University shouldn’t have to suffer like this
DEAR EDITOR,
It is with pleasure that I applaud the University of Guyana for a timely restart to a new academic year.
On Thursday I had an International Finance class with Mr. Rawle Lucas. Mr. Lucas is a fantastic teacher. I don’t think anyone will have a problem with the way he teaches.
However, I could not have enjoyed the class because the room is hot! There’s no working fan inside of the room.
I mean, if the University asked me to help raise funds to have the fans purchased and placed inside of the room, I’ll be happy to do so. If otherwise, the room is as good as closed. This is a class that is hot even after 6pm. Time after time I was stepping outside.
We the students cannot continue to sit and accept these types of treatment.
