The Bartica Police are once again investigating another murder. A male Gold Miner who was seen earlier in the junior’s Latino Bar on the Puruni Landing, Region Seven early yesterday Morning was discovered with a slash to the neck,
The Gold Miner was working with a Brazilian national in the Chinee Creek Backdam located about three miles from the Puruni Landing. The Crew did a ” wash down” on Monday last, after which he left his Camp Ground location to visit the Junior Bar on the Puruni Landing.
That location houses many women.
He then remained there until after midnight. Sources alleged that he was involved in a dispute with others in the bar. The dispute eventually spilled onto the road nearby and into the darkness.
His lifeless bloody body was subsequently discovered.
A report was then made to the Bartica Police Station and a team of Policemen is already in the area conducting investigations.
Last November 11,2018 another male Gold Miner named ” Boyal”, from Waramuri Mission, Moruca River, North West District, was shot and killed at the Puruni Landing, after being involved in an altercation at this said Junior Latino Bar on the Puruni Landing.
That altercation had also spilled out onto the road nearby. (Edward A Persaud)
