A belligerent knock of 81 from Troy Lewis, coupled by a decent bowling performance, led by Rudy Rodrigues, handed Ariel Masters the Wayne Jones 20-over softball title following a 105-run victory over Wellman M
asters in the final on Sunday last.
Lewis knock led Ariel Masters to 177-6, batting first at the Everest Cricket Club. Mohamed Rafeek supported with 32, while Kemy Dindyal made 31. Wellman Masters were bowled out for 72 in 17 overs in reply. Wayne Jones made 18 not out as Rodrigues picked up 3-25 and Peter Persaud 2-21.
Earlier, Ariel Masters beat HS Masters and Wellman Masters overcame Regal Masters.
