Asphalt paving begins in Lethem
The M
inistry of Public Infrastructure (MPI), through contractor, JR Ranch Inc., h
as commenced asphalt testing for the construction/rehabilitation of Township Road Network, Lethem.
On Monday, 100 metres of road was selected as a sample to test the application of 
asphalt on the road. Based on the results from the sampled area, the Ministry will refine the asphalt where required. The official paving is anticipated to commence next Monday, May 27
Lethem has been increasing in importance as a border trading area for Brazil.
