Dear Editor,
Those who voted with APNU/AFC did so, after decades of abuse meted out by the previous administration, was experienced in their communities, they long for change and patiently and sacrificially waited for the day to cast their ballots.
They voted solidly and ensured victory at the polls resulting in removal of the PPP from the seat of Government which to date has not been accepted by this new opposition.
This constitution clearly provides for the matter of the No Confidence Motion to be challenged in the High Court, Supreme Court and the Caribbean Court of Justice, so why all the noise from all these intellectuals.
Secondly a Government must at all times be in place during this process, thirdly this is a Regional and National election and not local Government election as such the Guyana Election Commission must not be bullied by the PPP and their Commissioners to create chaos in this country where thousands will be disenfranchised.
Over the last few years of the APNU/AFC Administration in office there has been concerted efforts to undermine the work of the Administration and to create division and mischief, no longer are we seeing our young men killed daily in the streets extra judicially with a common absence of an inquest into the killings.
The shackles and chains placed on African Guyanese communities have been tossed into the pit of no return by the APNU/AFC Coalition.
This nation is on the move, for it is the people who make the right moves and create the development with assistance from their Government.
It has been less than four years since this administration took office and the overall national development programmes remain stable and sound.
We need this continued peace during this stage of the development of our petroleum industry and only the APNU/AFC Coalition can assure us of that atmosphere of peace and love as we have only recently experienced the wrath of the previous administration.
There is a kind of desperation in the opposition camp that is most noticeable in the public domain, it seems like, take the seat of Government by any means necessary.
