Relatives and friends are mourning the passing Reverend Dr Gideon Cecil. Rev Cecil, died yesterday. He was 50.
He was the Pastor of Word of Faith Healing Ministries in Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara.
Rev Cecil held a Bachelor and Master of Arts Degree from Life Christian University in Tampa, Florida and a degree in journalism. He wrote over 300 poems, articles, stories and essays, publishing many from 1993 to 2017.
He is the author of the romantic collection of poetry, The Revelation of Love -published by Outskirts Press and recently republished by Tate Publishing & Enterprises LLC.
He contributed to the letter sections of the Kaieteur News and other daily publications.
He was recently conferred with an Honorary Doctorate from the Canadian International Chaplaincy Association, (CICA) University.
Dr Cecil leaves to mourn his wife, Deborah, and their two children.
