Truly disgraceful
DEAR EDITOR,
It is truly disgraceful that a former President of this nation should now be publicly calling on Western countries to impose sanctions on Guyana.
What exactly does Jagdeo want? To see Guyana’s children starve to death like those in Iraq during the sanctions of the 1990s or for us to endure economic isolation as pertains to this day in Iran or suffer the same destabilisation campaign going on in our neighbour Venezuela?
How ironic that the leader of the PPP/C should be calling on the West to interfere. One has to deeply question whether his lust for power exceeds his love of this country.
