Dear Editor,
It is rather distressing that an aspiring presidential candidate is discovered to have submitted questionable qualifications.
Why was this not discovered before? Why was this not pointed out before this person was appointed to a senior political position.
Based on his use of pencil for record keeping and the qualifications provided, it is evident that these qualifications are questionable. The use of pencil demonstrates the level to which this person belongs, never mind the bluster. This person “benefitted” immensely from the state. He should never hold public office ever again.
The failure is on the part of the person who led the planning department that hired him and the political party to which he belongs. All of this along with the current stance of the coalition reduces this country to ridicule in the eyes of the world.
In relation to the person in question, it is being mouthed in some circles that even the PhD is being obtained the wrong way. Someone who was/is a lecturer at the University of Guyana and sits as a procurement commission commissioner assisted him with the thesis.
Too many persons who are incompetent are in positions simply based on qualifications. This is what has destroyed this nation.
This country needs a leader with strength of character with demonstrated service to this nation. This is the only way we can progress. It cannot be business as usual with all sorts of questionable characters in leadership positions.
