Grove man nabbed with unlicensed gun in Cuyuni
A 30-year-old gold miner of Golden Grove, East Bank Demerara (EBD), was busted by police with an unlicensed gun and ammo shortly after 08:30hrs on Friday.
Suspect: Robert Richardson
Police said they were on patrol duties in the Arau Mountain Top, located in Cuyuni River, Region Seven.
A search was conducted on the gold miner, whose name was given as Robert Richardson. He was reportedly observed acting in a suspicious manner. The police unearthed an unlicenced firearm with a magazine and a live round.
The suspect is currently being processed to answer to the charges in the courts.
