The historic four-team KFC Goodwill Schools’ football Cup kicks off Saturday at the Ministry of Education (MOE) ground and Ansa Mcal through their Smalta and Icool brands have not wasted the opportunity to support this inaugural tournament which will see local teams and one from Trinidad & Tobago matching skills in a round-robin format.
Petra Organisation’s co-director, Troy Mendonca, thanked Ansa Mcal for their continued support, “Not only on the behalf of our company but also on the behalf of the entire football fraternity, we (Petra) want to acknowledge Ansa Mcal and we know that this partnership will go a very far way for the development of football.”
Mendonca further noted that this tournament in is keeping with Petra Organisation’s vision of developing football at the school level and, “We hope this tournament will serve as a motivation for them going forward in their career.”

The three local teams in Annandale Secondary, Christianburg/Wismar Secondary School (CWSS) of Linden, Annai Secondary of Region Nine will be joined by T&T’s 2016 School league champions, Shiva’s Hindu College in three-days of scintillating action.
“We at Ansa Mcal over the years have been very pleased with Petra in their quest to promote and develop football,” explained the sponsor’s Business Development Manager, Errol Nelson.
Nelson further noted that, “There are many tournaments throughout the year but few at the grassroots or development level and we know that this tournament will be a success.”
The fixtures of the tournament have been released and each day’s (15th, 18th and 22nd of December) play will witness a double header with games at 17:00hrs and 19:00hrs.
Saturday’s games will see CWSS playing Annandale first before Annai clash with Shiva’s Hindu College in the feature match.
On the 18th, CWSS will play Annai first followed by feature play between Annandale and Shiva’s Hindu College.
And, the final match day will pit Annandale against Annai at 17:00hrs while the final match of the tournament will be an anticipated clash between Linden’s CWSS and the fearsome youngsters from T&T at 19:00hrs.
