Dec 11, 2018 Letters
About eight years ago, I caused a letter to appear in our daily papers in which I referred to the School Bus that carries the children attending the Al Madinah Islamic Academy School at Anna Regina. In that letter, I commended the person or persons whose idea it was and who were financially responsible for providing and maintaining that service.
The David Granger-led Government has provided a bus in this region and other regions, along with boats and bicycles. This is an excellent idea as well.
I am not sure if these buses and boats are under the supervision of the Ministry of Education or the Regional Democratic Council, R.D.C., but I am sure that those persons would recognize the importance of the buses and boats and strive to maintain them so they can be roadworthy and seaworthy, that our school children and by extension this nation can benefit.
