While “Dem boys seh” is written and read for laughs it nonetheless creates impressions, many of them misleading and injurious to persons and our society.
I want to correct any impression that Mr. Jagdeo, our LOP, was in any way incorrect or sought to spin or mislead when challenging the AFC’s claim that it won 10% of the votes of the recently concluded LGE. Our LOP without doing a calculation estimated that the AFC could not have won more than 3.8 to 4%. He was correct.
From our PPP/C tabulation of SOPs for the PR votes, there were 119,214 for PPP/C, 61,032 for APNU, 7,379 for AFC and 467 for URP giving a total of 188,002 PR votes cast. AFC’s portion 7,379/188,002 equals 3.92%.
I say no more.

Hard Truths by GHK Lall (Kaieteur News) – I feel as though I am shortchanging my fellow American, U.S. Ambassador, Nicole D. Theriot. I take my hat off to her, regret there’s only one to offer.
