Assistant Instructor of WTMAA completes IOC Sport Administrators Course
Marminanda Small, Assistant Instructor of White Tiger Martial Arts Academy (WTMAA) recently completed an IOC Sport Administrators Course at GTU Hall in New Amsterdam. The course was hosted by the Guyana Olympic Association in collaboration with Olympic Solidarity.
The course covered a variety of topics including Mental Health, Governance, Nutrients, Sport for Law, Value and Ethics in Sport, Budgeting and Money Management, Women in sport among others.
Ms. Small is very thankful for this course as she intends to implement what she learnt and would like to encourage more women to get involved in sports. Ms. Marminanda Small has been involved in Taekwondo for over eight years and has acquired her Kukkiwon Certification. She is also involved in Wrestling and sit on the board of the White Tiger Martial Arts Academy.
The White Tiger Martial Arts Academy expressed its gratitude to the Guyana Olympic Association, Olympic Solidarity and course director Mr. Charles Corbin for making this Sport Administrators Course possible in New Amsterdam.
