Dear Editor,
The horizon over the land of many waters have never been brighter.
The many discoveries of oil, and the plans to develop a green economy by the present APNU-AFC administration, have given hope to all Guyanese of a better life.
However, this beautiful nation seems to be stalked by a vicious killer.
This monster must be stopped now. If one is to look at recent kills in the street including the murder of a 22-year-old Durban Street resident over cigarettes; the killing of a son by his own father; the killing of a 65-year-old by a drunk senior police officer and others, the inquisitive mind is prone to think that a drinker, or drinkers of blood, is roaming our lovely native land. For some, these incidents may appear to be the norm, but since the phantom killings, there seems to be no respect for life by some misguided Guyanese and the numbers have been rising.
This has caused many wanting to return home and to make positive contributions to the nation’s development, to now rethink.
These senseless killings must stop, and it is time for all Guyanese to get involved in the evicting of that death angel from our land.
We must also close the door, for good, through which this viper came.
Those responsible must also apologize. Too many of our sons and daughters are becoming victims.
Those who dream of a better Guyana must be given a chance to partake of that dream.Long live the leaders and people of Guyana.
Apostle Adrian Ashburton Wade

Hard Truths by GHK Lall (Kaieteur News) – Because Pres. Ali needs the hand, I’m keeping my day job. Unpaid advisor to HE Ali. It’s a thankless gig.
