Dear Editor,
Please permit me space to share my view on a nostalgia moment. Myself and wife happened to be in Trinidad for the Regional U17 50-over tournament which concluded recently. Prior to Guyana’s opening match against Windward Islands I witnessed a grand feat whereas members of the Guyana team huddled with the presence of their manager and coach and in front the Golden Arrowhead took their right hand and placed it to their left chest and recited the National Pledge of Guyana.
To me this reflects how patriotic Guyanese can be in an out of their country. It took me a little while to regain my composure and I will always remember that where there is unity there is strength.
Kudos to Manager Nazeer Mohamed and coach Orin Bailey.
Yours Truly,
True Ambassadors
