Minister’s son, girlfriend face charges following altercation
Police are to charge the son of a government Minister and the man’s girlfriend in connection with a recent altercation that they allegedly had at Bartica. A police release stated that following an online article published on July 23 under the caption “Minister threatens Commander with dismissal after son assaults girlfriend”, which the Commander, Senior Superintendent Kevin Adonis, has vehemently denied, a thorough investigation into the alleged incident was conducted.
The release stated that legal advice was obtained and Hector Broomes is to be charged with one count of assault causing actual bodily harm.
Gilibeth Rodriguez is to be charged with assault and for throwing missiles.
They are being charged under the Summary Jurisdiction (Offences) Act Chapter 8:02.
