Surinamese reaches out to less fortunate in Guyana

A number of West Berbice residents were on Wednesday presented with food hampers by Mr. Louis Vismale, a Surinamese businessman who is hoping to set up business in Guyana in the near future.
Louis Vismale is a principal of the business line, ROQRA, a company with headquarters in Holland, and operations in Suriname.
Since setting up business in neighbouring Suriname, ROQRA has been able to establish a football club with Guyanese nationals among the membership.
Being of a charitable disposition, Vismalo has been giving back to the community, and so when the idea was put him, he could not resist the idea of reaching out to some of the needy in the Guyanese society. A date was set, and Vismale and his team journeyed to Guyana on June 13 solely for the purpose of delivering food hampers to 100 families.
The team started the distribution at Tempie, West Coast Berbice and eventually completed the exercise at Rosignol.
According to the businessman, he has been to Guyana before, and he is interested in setting up operations in the country.
