Guyanese was people who you couldn’t ketch wid patchy clothes. And if dem clothes tear dem throw it away. Up comes some foreigner wid a jeans that tear and de next thing you know all dem women looking fuh tear up clothes.
Dem ain’t wearing this tear-up clothes in dem house, dem dressing up and going to party wid it. That is de thing that mek dem boys realize that Guyanese waiting fuh see who gun do something suh dem gun follow. Dem boys remember years ago Guyanese use to eat only foreign things like grapes and apples and prunes and things like that because was foreign things and foreign people use to eat dem.
That is how dem drink whisky and bourbon wha dem does call brandy. And de police use to lock up people fuh mekking bush rum and de magistrate use to jail dem. De argument was that if people mek bush rum then de foreign likker can’t sell and de government wouldn’t get tax.
Is de same thing mek nuff Guyanese running to de States and Canada. Some of dem trying to run back but dem can’t even go near Donald Trump airport. Dem like de moth that get attract to de flame and when dem get in is fire in dem tail.
Well Exxon come and announce that it doing business at Bourda Market, all of a sudden people flocking Bourda Market. Dem boys been deh de odda day trying to buy greens and all sell out.
When dem boys go by Shanta is de same thing. Exxon also got people buying out Shanta puri because dem read how de foreign company doing business wid de roti place. Up comes a lady to announce that she name get call. Dem boys believe that she think people gun rush to she to give she wuk.
Same way dem have people who believe that because dem newspaper name get call dem gun sell plenty newspaper.
Talk half and don’t follow everything foreign.
