Loshanna Boyle was reportedly stabbed by her ex-boyfriend in the vicinity of D’Urban Street, Lodge, yesterday. The 24-year-old, is a mother of one for the man with whom she shared a relationship.
The incident occurred in the morning hours after Boyle had dropped her child to school. She was walking on D’Urban Street, heading in the eastern direction. Her ex-boyfriend, Cleveland Williams, is said to be a labourer in D’Urban Street.
She was proceeding along the road, when he came out and attacked her. In the heat of the scuffle, he held her down and pulled out a knife from his waist and dealt her two stabs in her back.
She attempted to jump in a trench that was close by but he held onto her restraining her from moving. She was later rescued by persons who were passing by.
Williams made his escape during this period and is currently being sought by the police.
Boyle is said to be in a stable condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital where she is currently receiving treatment.
Within recent times, there have been constant reports of violence against women, mainly with those whom they shared an intimate relationship.
Two weeks ago, an army captain reportedly killed his girlfriend, brutally in Alexander Village. During the same period, a La Parfaite Harmonie man killed his ex-girlfriend after an argument.
