Cycling action returns to West Berbice today when the Flying Ace Cycle Club (FACC) in collaboration with former member and now businessman Tyrone Ray Kishore of Rosignol West Bank Berbice stages a 35 miles cycle road race. The event is for club cyclists only.
Kishore operates a taxi service and the event will be known as the Troy’s Taxi Service cycle race. The race will pedal off from in front of the taxi Service base at Bennet Dam, Rosignol, West Bank Berbice; proceed to Leitchfield, West Coast Berbice before returning to its place of origin.
Prizes will be available for the first five finishers, the first two females; the first two 12-14 riders will also be rewarded. There will be six sprint point prizes up for grabs.
Kishore was once a part of the batch of cyclists along with the Benjamin brothers and others from the ancient county that dominated the scene.
The former top cyclist like a number of his other colleagues is still a member of the club and would assist with numerous donations from time to time.
Coordinator and coach Randolph Roberts thanked Kishore for once again remembering the club and wished him well in his future endeavors.
