Blairmont Cricket Club will be hosting its Annual Easter Camp from Monday 26th March to Saturday 7th April 2018 at the Blairmont Estate Ground.
The Easter Camp has been part of the membership drive at the club over the last eight years, and they are also inviting other interested cricket individuals in Berbice to participate. The camp is open for players from ages 10 to 18 years old.
The camp’s main focus will be addressing the discipline of batting, bowling and fielding, there will also be other fun activity such as table tennis, checkers, domino, sports movies, etc.
The individuals expected to be making presentations includes national coaches Julian Moore, Adrian Amsterdam, Andre Percival and Winston Smith.
The club is also currently seeking to have current and past West Indies representatives to share time with attendees of the camp. Some of the players will include Sewnarine Chattergoon, Devendra Bishoo, Brendon Bess and Shimron Hetymer.
The youths will be targeted with topics relevant to society and their roles: for example; suicide, peer pressure, behavioural patterns, drug and alcohol abuse, teenage pregnancy, etc.

Some of the players who have benefited from such camps representing Guyana and Berbice are Parmand Ramdhan, Javed Karim, Seon Glasgow, Nigel Deodat, Kevon Jawahir, Derick Narine, Deveshwari Prashad, Nick Ramsaroop, Waqar Hassan, Aveshkar Sewkarran, Zameer Inshan, Sachin Veerasammy and Marvan Prashad among others.
