The Wakenaam Cricket Committee (WCC) has extended congratulations to Keemo Paul on his recent selection to the West Indies senior team currently participating in the International Cricket Council World Cup qualifier in Zimbabwe.
A release from the committee stated that Paul’s elevation is as a result of hard work and commitment and would serve as a motivator to young cricketers on the Island.
The committee wishes Paul every success in his career. Secretary of the WCC Nazeer Mohamed said that Paul is the first cricketer who played the game on the island to have represented the West Indies, adding that he has showed commitment necessary to reach the top from an early age.
The Secretary reserved special praise for CEO of V-Net Communication Safraz Sheriffudeen who has supported Paul throughout his climb in the cricket ladder and still continues to do so. The committee wishes Paul a long and successful stint in the West Indies team. Paul plays for Noitgedacht Sports Club in Wakenaam.
