Dear Sir /Madam,
I will appreciate your publishing this letter so that the relevant authority can bring closure to this issue and the 609 passengers get their long overdue refunds.
On June 23, 2017 I paid US$1,796 (receipt # 2D918) to Millennia Travel Agency, Regent and Camp Streets ,Georgetown being airfare to travel to New York on September 11, 2017 and return on October 13, 2017 on Dynamic Airways aircraft. The flight was cancelled for September 11, 2017. We left on September 12, 2017.
On September 28, 2017 I was informed by an agent of Millennia Travel Agency that Dynamic Airways will make its last flight out of New York on October 03, 2017 and was advised to file for refund of return airfare which the agent did on my consent.
Since my return on October 13, 2017 I have been given the royal run around by various agencies and authorities ,namely Millennia Travel Agency :- (a) Has submitted list to Roraima Airways — Check with them.
(b) No word as yet. Keep checking with Roraima Airways as they are responsible for the refunds. (c)Civil Aviation is waiting on one more signatory to the bond. Roraima Airways:- (a) Haven’t heard from Dynamic Airways.
(b)Submitted the information to Ministry of Public Infrastructure. Check with them.
(c) Ministry of Public Infrastructure is dealing with the issue and they will inform the passengers when and where to collect their refunds.
(b)Ministry of Public Infrastructure is dealing with the issue.
(b) Roraima Airways has to submit updated list of affected passengers for submission to the bank. (c)Payment should be ready by the second week of January 2018
(d) Roraima Airways has submitted updated list. Waiting on Republic Bank to say when they are ready so as to inform the passengers.
(b) Ministry of Public Infrastructure says that payment should be ready by the second week of January 2018
(c) Ministry of Public Infrastructure is waiting on one more signatory to the bond, the person is overseas . Payment should be ready in three weeks time.
Our return passage was US$1076.30 with Carribean Airlines which we borrowed. It is very embarrassing because I am unable to repay this money to date and I am being pushed from pillar to post in getting back my money from the travel agency/Roraima Airways .
Thank you
Yours truly,
