Accusation leads to shooting
A man shot his best friend to the stomach Friday night after being accused by the friend of having an affair with his wife.
The incident happened around 21:00 hrs at the Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara (ECD) home of the victim, Sazel Haniff, a 27-year-old mason.
According to information received, the suspect went to the home of the victim to lime when an accusation ensued of the suspect having a sexual relationship with his best friend’s wife.
Kaieteur News was informed that it was not the first time that such an allegation was made by the victim. The suspect reportedly got angry, pulled out a gun and shot the victim and then escaped.
He has not been located.
